Peacock Patricia "Peacock" Watson Gallery | Quotes | Move List Peacock action portrait by oh8-d2qigab.jpg Murder-Go-Round Information Peacock (JP: ピーコック) was originally a human girl by the name of Patricia Watson who was turned into an Anti-skullgirl biomechanical weapon by Dr. Avian. Her arsenal consists of the Argus System, a synthetic Parasite, and her "gang", which includes the Avery Unit, Andy Anvil, Tommy Ten-Tons, George Bomb, and Lonesome Lenny. General Information Peacock is one of the original eight playable characters in Skullgirls, standing out as having the most (unique) assist characters, and was among the first characters ever conceived by Alex Ahad. Her backstory was revealed in detail in the "Meaner. Better. Faster. Stronger" Origin Story in Skullgirls Mobile. Her homestage is Lab 8. Peacock is capable of aging. Some of her parts may need to be re-fitted because of this. Peacock took up smoking after her transformation. They are imaginary cigars that are created in a similar manner to her other summons. Alex Ahad has stated that Peacock will never stop believing in imaginary friends. Peacock's favorite television program is "Annie: Girl of the Stars". She is shown to own merchandise from the show as she is seen wearing Sagan slippers while in her sleeping attire. Personality Nothing sates Peacock's boredom more than a good cartoon and laying waste to anyone or anything in her sight. Brash, combative, and impatient, Peacock is easily the most outspoken and infamous member of the Anti-Skullgirl Labs, as well as the most prominent. Peacock is also, for the most part, optimistic and light-hearted, and considers imminent threats more of invitations to brawl. Her tendency toward violence is a reflection of both her tragic past and near-death experience as well as the cartoons she cherishes. Despite having a damaged psyche, Peacock does not attack people out of sheer randomness or without provocation. Although rude and impersonal to fellow ASG Lab 8 members (and most people in general) superficially, Peacock still very much considers them family, and will go to certain lengths to protect them from harm (or in the case of her and Big Band's story mode, further harm). Dr. Avian was particularly close to Peacock, and his death sent her into an outrage to search for his murderer. None, however, are closer to Peacock than Marie Korbel, her one true friend from her past and the Skullgirl she was tasked to destroy. In the end, she disposes of Marie as she was instructed, but personally sees to it that Marie's wish to end the Medici Mafia is carried out. Character Basis Origin Peacock's dialogue and animations reference multiple cartoon eras, but chiefly feature 40's-50's era cartoon violence and slapstick. Name Her true name is Patricia Watson, while she herself came up with Peacock. The word "peacock" is the more commonly known name of the peafowl, but is actually the term for the male bird. The name Patricia is derived from the Latin word "patrician" and means "noble". Watson is a patronymic surname meaning "son of Walter". It should be noted that Walter means "ruler of the army", which accurately describes her relationship with her gang. Being once close friends, Marie continues to address her as Patricia. Her gang typically refer to her as "boss". Design Her natural eye color used to be green before they were gouged out by slave traders. The Argus System is Peacock's only means of sight, as the ones on her face are actually empty eye-sockets. The holes left are also a visual pun: Due to her design being based on American cartoons, her eye-sockets could easily be interpreted as though they are natural eyes; drawn in the style of a 1930's cartoon character. The joke is how similar styles of drawing can offer different perceptions on how something looks. Her references are similar to the 30's such as Mickey Mouse. Her cartoon revolver bears resemblance to the Smith & Wesson Model 29, a .44 Magnum revolver made famous by Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry. In older design concepts, Peacock was intended to be a more "demented type" character, originally being envisioned as a scarred, sociopathic individual due to her experience as a slave. At one point, she was considered to be a boss alongside Marie. Her design was changed to be more 'cartoony' and lighthearted. These design documents also included references to her abilities being part magic with spells being carved onto her bones. Story Patricia once lived with Marie in an orphanage, which was originally a nobleman's house, in Rommelgrad. Having to make do with what was available, both girls used to dress in maid outfits that they found within the house. At some point, they were captured by slave traders, but because Patricia was too defiant to be a slave, she was mutilated as an example to the others: Her eyes were gouged out, and she was also maimed. Patricia before peacock.png Patricia as a patient at Lab 8 One year prior to the events of Skullgirls, Lab 8 teamed up with Lab 0 and the Last Peacock Hooded.png Patricia before becoming Peacock Hope to infiltrate the Medici warehouse said to be containing Rommelgrad's refugees. Although Valentine and the rest of her gang safely rescued the refugees, there was very little Valentine could do to repair the damage done to Patricia's body and was even willing to abandon her as a casualty of war. Big Band, however, believed that Dr. Avian would be of help and took the girl back to the Anti-Skullgirl Labs. The doctor informed him that Patricia would adapt well to her new eyes and that she would be walking in no time. Patricia became insistent on becoming an ASG soldier after the impression left on her by Lab 8's team. Despite that, Avian was wary about giving her too much power, while admitting her compatibility with the Avery Unit is strong. After some tests, Patricia's Argus System and Avery Unit were completely installed, and the combination proved to make her more powerful than the scientists had anticipated. Instead of being able to bend only space, Patricia could also bend other aspects of reality, spawning Tommy and Andy during her training. Eager to sign up for Lab 8's team, she assigned herself the name "Peacock". She later vanished into the city with her gang, causing Lab 8's crew to worry immensely about her safety and condition after her surgery, and Stanley insisted that Big Band find her as soon as possible. Following her trail, Big Band stumbled upon an ice cream stand from which Peacock and her gang ate all of the ice cream except for Rocky Road. He considered this a clue, but later assumes that she was merely stress eating due to all the strange new occurrences happening to her all at once. He finally arrived at a movie theater, where he found the "clown car" that Peacock was said to have driven away in. As the vehicle appeared damaged, he burst into the theatre, assuming that the Medici may have returned for her. Peacock is revealed to be perfectly fine, having gone around the town because she felt she needed a break from the labs. The two begin to hit it off; although Big Band tells her she could have taken a break without causing property damage, they begin to connect through what they like most in a movie. Ending: After defeating the Skullgirl, which turns out to be her best friend Marie, Peacock destroys the Skull Heart, though the skull heart claimed her act to be "foolish" and that this will "not be over". She and Marie have a friendly conversation before Marie disappears from the world, and Peacock vows to take revenge on the people who made both their lives miserable. She is seen confronting the true head of the Medici family and his own secret weapon (Black Dahlia) and the two duke it out. Abilities & Fighting Style With Peacock's physics-bending arsenal, nothing is sacred. She is a kind of character that will exploit any opportunity to its maximum and get away with it. No enemies of hers last long against her sharp eyes and sharper gun...blades. Her opponents last even shorter against her array of flower pots, baseballs, bowling balls, combustible toy cars, and countless other hazards that fill the air. Peacock never plays fairly, and isn't afraid to call in her goons to fight with her. In the rare occasions when Peacock can't topple her opponent, she can simply stall the battle until the timer runs out. The Avery Unit has the power to “distort” which is a side effect of Peacock’s insanity. She can’t create things out of thin air, but rather modify Lab 8’s range of specialized arsenal. There are certain limits and her summons are only temporary. Her power is still growing so she may be able to summon more things in the future. This is suggested in Big Band's story mode, were he warns Peacock that she 'ain't ready' yet and has to be taught her 'limitations the hard way', but understands her potential in the future by saying 'we're gonna need those girls if we don't want to lose the last of the light'. In addition, all ants (if Peacock summons multiple through cancelling the move repeatedly) are the same ant, summoned from alternate universes. People who donated $50 to the Skullgirls Evo 2013 Breast Cancer Donation Drive could request a personalized voice mail message from one of the game's voice actors. Peacock's voice actress was requested to sing "Yakko's World" from the cartoon show Animaniacs and two versions of this cover exist, the original with the voice unmodified and the Lab Zero edit which has the voice modified to match the filter Peacock's voice has in-game.[1] The name of Peacock's "Robo With a Shotgun" move is a reference to the 2011 film "Hobo With a Shotgun," which in turn is based on a fake trailer in the intermission of the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez double feature film Grindhouse. In an unused alternate ending, Peacock decides to "wish for something cool" and proceeds to make numerous outrageous wishes (such as turning the world's oxygen into chocolate), which the Skull Heart is unable to fulfill. Comically frustrated, she begins questioning its legend, and the Skull Heart laments that, in the thousands of years it has been doing its work, Peacock is the worst wisher it has met.[2] Peacock originally had an aerial move where she would fire one of her eyes off her Argus arms in a similar fashion to a bow and arrow. This move was dropped for being useless.[3] Peacocks's alternate title, The Murder-go-Round (and the full phrase from her character poster, "The 'Murder-go-Round' Broke Down") is a reference to the Looney Tunes theme song, from 1937 to 1969, known officially as "The Merry-go-Round Broke Down", reflecting her vintage cartoon theme.[4] Her Shadow of Impending Doom Level 3 - Avery drop is a reference to DIO's 'Road Roller Da!' super move from the 1998 arcade game JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Hello everyone, back again looking to swap! I am happy to announce that I recently completed 50 confirmed trades! I have 5 sections of items to offer: Systems, Games, Amiibo, Collectibles, and Miscellaneous. Click on the name of an item to view pictures. If I don't have pictures, they are available on request. All items are NA region except where noted. Prefer to trade in continental US, of course. I'm trying to land some hard to find wants from my list below, and to that end I'm bringing out some hard trades. If an items says hard trade, then I only want to trade it toward bolded wants from my list below (games like Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for Switch, Izuna series for DS or Virtual-On Marz for PS2). I'm also willing to add cash in such instances. I am also happy to sell these items and have linked my GameSale post at the end! And if you see something here that isn't in my GameSale post, it might mean that I forgot to list it there or that it's only for trading, just ask.

Clarkson's Columns: In Memory of Ginger Baker & The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante Review
Skyfall's villains can blow this one up too The Clarkson Review: Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante (Sunday Times, Oct. 13) Of course I will go and see the new James Bond film, but I almost certainly won't enjoy it. I haven't really enjoyed any of them since Daniel Craig took over. I know he wants his Bond to be fallible and weak, like the character in the books, but I don't want to see 007 swigging Heineken from a bottle that just happens to be label-side out, and I don't want to see him bleed, or fire his gun at something and miss. I want him to be Roger Moore, the cheeky chappie who could speak Latin, fly a space shuttle and lay anyone low with one of his signature karate chops. Craig's Bond can't do that. In fact, if you actually stop and think what he's done in the past, you'd have to conclude he's completely useless. In Casino Royale, he didn't notice that the woman he'd fallen in love with was spying for the other side, and then, despite his best efforts, he let her drown in a lift. The next woman he lurved, in Skyfall, got shot in the head by a former colleague. Oh, and then he took an old woman who needed to go into hiding to his own bloody house. Where she and 007's gamekeeper wandered about on a darkened moor, with a torch, just in case the baddies needed even more help locating her. Before that happened, though, Bond went to interview someone in Shanghai and ended up throwing him off a skyscraper. And in an earlier scene, he was shot by Miss Moneypenny. I'm telling you, Johnny English is better at espionage than this guy. So's Inspector Clouseau. But the worst bit in Skyfall came when the director Sam Mendes decided to blow up Bond's Aston Martin. So he pumped it full of bullets until it exploded. I'm sure, to the luvvie-in-chief, this was fine, because a car is just a collection of plastic and metal and glass. But a car is not just a collection of plastic and metal and glass. And Bond's Aston is more of a car than most. It has been a part of my life since I was four. I have owned many models, including one that would fire a small man under the sofa. And Mendes blew it up so he could get Craig to do some acting. I considered at the time filling Sam's dog with bullets until it exploded, just to show him how it felt. The car was put back together in the next Bond film, Spectre — and it appears in the new movie as well — but it was like making Ring of Bright Water 2 and trying to argue that someone had sewn the otter's head back on. I bet Aston Martin had a duck fit when it saw the DB5 reduced to a smouldering ruin, because Bond is its marketing department. He is its PR machine and its ad agency and its ambassador all rolled into one. So I bet it really did try to sew the DB5's head back on, because without 007, the company would have to maintain a public profile on its own. And it doesn't have the cash for that. I'm not sure it even had enough cash to develop the car you see before you today. It's called — deep breath — the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante, and sometimes you get the impression that you're tootling about in almost two tons of make-do and mend. With a bit of cast-off Mercedes tech to maintain a veneer of modernity. To create it, Aston had to chop the roof off a normal DBS, but this meant finding somewhere to put the electric roof mechanism. That meant rerouting the massive exhaust system and that meant turning the fuel tank round and redesigning every body panel aft of the doors. The company managed it, but sometimes the roof doesn't go down when you operate the switch, the boot is laughably tiny, and it gets so hot in there, owing to the exhaust system, you could roast a chicken. There's also a problem with the interior. Astonishingly, we got four adults in it, and that's impressive, but it is almost identical to the interior you get in a far cheaper DB11 Volante. And that's not good enough. The basic starting price of the DBS Superleggera Volante is £247,500 and, I'm sorry, but if I'm going to blow a quarter of a million on a car, I don't want it to have the same innards as a car that costs almost £90,000 less. The trouble is, of course, that when you've spent all that money turning the fuel tank round, there simply won't be enough left to do the air vents as well. Or fit a glovebox. It sounds like I have a real downer on this car, and I haven't finished yet, I'm afraid. Because superleggera is Italian for "superlight", and it just isn't. With a couple of people on board, it weighs more than two tons. Perhaps that's why it endlessly catches its chin-mounted skid plates on speed humps. And why its tyres are so thin you need to be very careful when you're parking, even against a dropped pavement, or you'll kerb the wheels. Perhaps Aston should have called it Supergrasso. You can feel this weight when you're driving, too. It doesn't come across as a feisty little whizz-bang; it's no water boatman. But that said, it's fast. Rocket-ship fast. It's almost too fast, because on wet roads you would be well advised to treat the throttle with extreme caution or you will have a crash. You even need to be careful sometimes on dry roads. And that raises a question. If you can't unleash all the volcanic fury without the back end having a few moments of panic, then why not save yourself the best part of £90,000 and get the DB11 Volante instead? Because you can exploit all the power in one of those, all of the time. And it has the same interior. And it's a little bit more civilised and comfortable. It's almost as though Aston bit off more than it could chew with the DBS. Think of its engineers as pianists. They're accomplished enough to impress their friends and colleagues, but they're not really able to put on a penguin suit, walk onto the stage at the Royal Albert Hall and attempt Liszt's La Campanella. If you attempt to build a 211mph car that costs £247,000, you need to make sure that you have the money to pull it off. Yes, the DBS Superleggera Volante is one of the best-looking cars ever made, and it's blisteringly fast and it makes some laugh-out-loud noises from the tailpipes, but as a package, it's flawed. Hopefully, the new Bond film will be a gem and will keep alive the aura that surrounds the man and the car he drives. But I wouldn't count on it. The way things are going, they'll replace Craig with Anthea Turner and give her a Nissan Leaf. And that, I fear, would bring the curtain down on Britain's best-loved car-maker. In the meantime, if you want an Aston because you, like me, grew up worshipping them, then don't despair because the DB11 Volante is brilliant. That sort of car at that sort of price? Nobody does it better ? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He's not around to beat me, so I'll say it: Ginger was only the world's second-best drummer (Sunday Times, Oct. 13) The drummer Ginger Baker died last week and everyone was very surprised because we all assumed the drug-addled wild man from Cream and Blind Faith had shuffled off this mortal coil years ago. It's customary, of course, when someone dies to gloss over their shortcomings and concentrate instead on their work for charity and their heroics in the war. But this is nigh-on impossible with Baker, who was almost certainly the most unpleasant man ever to grace a stage. He pulled a knife on Cream's bass player, Jack Bruce. He used his fists to settle almost every dispute. He broke the nose of the director who made a documentary about him with his walking stick. Then, of course, there was the naked 11-year-old girl featured on the cover of Blind Faith's only album. That's such a difficult issue these days, none of the obituaries even mentioned it. Instead, everyone concentrated on Baker's skills as a musician — but even here people missed the point, because despite what he claimed, he wasn't the best drummer the world has ever seen. Thanks to Mitch Mitchell, who played with Jimi Hendrix, he was the second best. I'm on Twitter if you want to argue. Baker, however, could keep perfect time, even when he was full of heroin, which is quite an achievement. And he could maintain four different cross rhythms with each of his limbs. This is like rubbing your tummy, patting your head, pumping up a lilo and playing hopscotch all at the same time. I have a drum kit. It's an enormous Pictures of Lily limited edition replica. And after several years of weekly lessons, I developed a profound admiration for drummers, because they're doing something I can't do. We can't admire people who can do what we can do. I don't admire anyone who can drive fast while shouting, but when I watch a dry-stone-waller creating a natural barrier using nothing but experience and big, warty hands, I become a statue of wonderment held upright by nothing but the tingling in my hair. That's what happens when I hear a drum solo. A columnist last week said that words cannot begin to describe the "unstoppable misery" of the "nightmarish" drum solo. Plainly, he is the sort of man who thinks drummers are like houseflies. That they come, they make an annoying noise and then they die. And I literally could not agree less. A drum solo allows the audience to marvel at the technical wizardry of the drummer. It allows us to concentrate on his incredible ability to get a whole arm from one side of the kit to the other faster than it takes a Formula One car to change gear. And to do it in perfect time. It's been suggested that Ginger Baker invented the drum solo so his bandmates could have a moment to go backstage and top up whatever was missing at that moment from their lives. I doubt this, though. He didn't really like other musicians that much. It's been reported that he called Mick Jagger a "musical moron". But that's not true. What he actually said was that the Stones were like "a load of little kids trying to play black blues music and playing it very badly". It was George Harrison he called a musical moron. And he dismissed Paul McCartney too, because, unlike him, McCartney could not sight-read music. Led Zeppelin? If you even mentioned them in his presence, you'd get a thick lip. He only really liked people we've never heard of. Phil Seamen was a hero of his, for example. And Art Blakey. So no. Baker was on the stage doing his solos simply so we could hear how he'd fused the jazz music of his heroes with an altogether new and busy way of playing. He despised the 4/4 beat of rock and pop music, but it's possible that, because of what he did with Cream, he's partly responsible for it. His solos were often more than 10 minutes long and were mesmerising. And soon drummers everywhere were trying to outdo him. Led Zeppelin's John Bonham did a 17-minute epic on the track "Moby Dick", and then you got — whisper this, because I'm friendly with Nick Mason and Roger Taylor — my favourite drummer, Phil Collins, duetting with Chester Thompson. They started out hitting bar stools and then moved to their kits for a drumming shootout. It's the best thing on YouTube. And now? Well, there was the movie Whiplash, which everyone, apart from me, thought was weird — but on stage? In real life? There's nothing. The drum solo is dead. I find that odd. There are still bands and some still have drummers, so why don't these people want the audience to see and hear them doing their thing? Isn't that like being a goalkeeper who never wants to make a save? The only explanation is that they actively hide at the back behind the bass and the guitar and the flashy vocals because they're not that good. This sort of thing has happened before. Between 1750 and 1820, the world heard from Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn, but since then, apart from a couple of little spurts, there's been nothing of any great consequence. And today? There's a woman in Iceland who turns drawings of turnips into classical music and there's Ludovico Einaudi, who provided the soundtrack for many of the Top Gear films I made. But that's about it. Could it be that the same thing has happened with drumming? That we as a species were only ever any good at it between 1958 and 1978, and now we have lost the ability, in the same way that penguins have lost the ability to fly? Luckily, however, we still have the recordings from the days when drumming wasn't just an electronic nn tss nn tss nn tss nn tss and I've been listening to a lot of it all week. That's why I ended up revisiting "Can't Find My Way Home." You played on that one, Ginger. And now you have. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here's the Sun column: "Extinction Rebellion forget dole money, tents and yoga mats all come from… oil" Clarkson is wrong by the way: Ginger Baker is only the world's fourth best drummer. The best and second best are Hal Blaine and Levon Helm. Anyway, I have now caught up on posting all the Clarkson columns that ran while I was on vacation. Normal weekly posting will resume on Monday.
As someone that very recently got Kirby Star Allies, coming from Planet Robobot and Triple Deluxe, I'm disappointed with one key aspect
Me, I'm all about replaying the levels. And to me, the level design of Kirby Star Allies is the absolute weakest of the recent main series games. They're too short and it feels like almost nothing is going on in them. It's only when we get to the final world, Star Flung Allies, was where the level design picked up. But my main point - when these levels are too short, they become very easily remembered / predictable and you lose the will to play them again. I've barely replayed the first world's levels because they're only 3 rooms long each or so. I've had Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot both for a year now and still (re)play them regularly, but this? Nah...I'll be done pretty soon Lets talk about themes too. In Planet Robobot, we had cities and crossing the road when the traffic light was green, casinos, ice cream factories - there's none of that here. In Triple Deluxe we had haunted houses where you had to look at the mirror to see whats actually there, or cannons shooting at you from the background, - nope none of that here. Levels in Star Allies just feel depressingly empty is my impression. Actually, lets also point out, theres no 3D in the levels here - no warp stars to jump between different planes in a level. A great idea that was a key selling point of Triple Deluxe, brought a whole new perspective on level design which worked, and just like that, its been binned. The only level that stood out to me as having any substantial effort in + made me want to replay it with different abilities was the very final extra stage in the game, with the Super Ability / Hypernova / Robobot music, and all the boss fights. Or Star Lavadom with the meteors. In contrast, while I'm at it, Jambastion's two extra stages were a complete joke and waste of space (which upset me as I unlocked these last) and may as well have not existed, ones just a spam fest of 'kill-the-enemies-to-proceed sections' (please don't ever bring these back), the others a short Friend Train ride in a forgettable setting and thats it Like, don't get me wrong. I love the co-op. I love the bosses (in contrast I found Robobots bosses obnoxious to deal with). I love the ability selection, its the the most varied and widespread we've ever seen in a Kirby game. The graphics are stunning (and I don't actually care this game is 30fps!). There's some pretty good soundtrack here. But the levels, what they've done with it here - we went backwards here and I'm concerned if Kirby levels are just going to become more condensed, short and empty of anything to see or do in them as they pretty much were in Star Allies.
[S3E13] Small details noticed on a rewatch of S3E13
A lot to mention in this episode, although how much of it will ever pay off will only be revealed by time. Also a few trips down memory lane to episode 2 in this one. You can find the past threads here: S3E1 & S3E2S3E3 & S3E4S3E5S3E6S3E7 [S3E8] Skipped this one, didn't think there were enough small notable details to make a thread for it. The big details were plenty compelling S3E9S3E10S3E11S3E12 Lucky 7 Insurance:
It was mentioned in another thread, but the weird song that plays is a sped up drum track from the original series soundtrakc archives (as in, not an important enough song to get its own spot on the soundtrack) plus a bunch of other weird effects.
It's difficult to make out, but after pausing the phonescreen while Anthony Sinclair is making his call and playing with the brightness in photoshop, it says the call is happening on 02/18(16?)/2016 at 11:23 (I'm not sure about the 23, but it's 11:something at least.) I honestly think this is just a prop-error or something overlooked because its such a miniscule detail it was ignored - even if we accept the split timelines theories as being true, February is way out of synch with any other scene even with the Dougie Jones plot. Plus, it took a photoshop work to even read the date and time, so I think this is more just a product of when the scene was shot in real life.
The name on the form Anthony Sinclair has open on his computer, Nancy Steiner, is the name of the show's Costume Designer.
During the conversation with Mr. Todd, we hear one of the tracks from the original series. I'm not sure the name, but one of the ominous-ambient ones.
The Farm
Not a small detail, but I just want to say I love Lynch's choice to include one nerdy guy in with the other gang members.
When Ray says he knows who Dopplecoop is, it's ambiguous if he means he knows that Dopplecoop is Former Special Agent Dale Cooper, or if he means he know's what Dopplecoop is.
I don't think I've seen any speculation yet on what The Dutchman's is. It's not a real place, and Dopplecoop knows what it is.
Las Vegas Police
One of the Fusco Brothers is eating creamed corn.
The Fusco Brothers dismiss Cooper's fingerprints results as a mistake, but I have to wonder - the military and FBI learned of Major Briggs's body's location via a fingerprints search... could the same thing happen here? The main difference is that for Briggs they were denied access initially, it would appear Cooper's prints are not similarly classified.
Highway
For fun I managed to track down the exact spot Hutch and Chantal are driving along, it's a highway just south of Salt Lake City, heading south. This puts them I'd say at about 60% of the way to Las Vegas. It's a little funny they have their Utah conversation at this point, because they're well into Utah by that part of the trip.
Not actually from this episode, but I went back to watch episode 2 again and Chantal's hotel room was full to the brim of Cheetos and Cheezits, I can't believe I missed that the first time.
Lucky 7 Insurance Again
I think its really interesting that the way Sinclair speaks about him during his confession, apaprently Bushnell Mullins already knows who Duncan Todd is. I don't think we know yet what Duncan's actual business is, but since he lists the Mitchum Brothers as rivals I have to imagine its the casino business. Even more curious, is that apparently Coopers scribbles even clued Bushnell onto the Mr. Todd part, as Bushnell treats the whole confession as old news, not just the part about Sinclair being corrupt in a general sense.
"Dougie even implicated himself." Does this mean the original Dougie Jones also worked for Mr. Todd?
I'm sure others have noticed, but Coopers responses have become way more relevant than they used to be. At the start, he would just say the one or two phrases he knew regardless of context, but now it almost seems as though he waits for someone to say what was on his mind before parroting it. That, plus the way he carries himself and his facial expressions, leads me to think that even though Coopers not all there still, he has a much better grasp on what it means to be Dougie Jones and how to interact with the world.
RR Diner
As many other threads have mentioned, Bobby saying he found some old stuff of his dad's that same day suggests the scenes we're seeing are possibly out of order. Not sure if I agree with that yet, but this scene is good evidence in favor of that idea.
Big Ed is eating corn, although not creamed corn.
There's some really hard to hear ambient rumbling/humming going on under this scene. Hard to hear, but it is there.
Run Silent Run Drapes
Although its still ambiguous if Nadine and Ed are still together, Nadine is still wearing a ring
Palmer House
I wasn't going to mention it but I saw some people hadn't noticed originally - the clip that Sarah Palmer is watching is on a loop. As soon as the electric sound plays, the video begins again from the same point.
Sarah Palmer is eating corn, possibly of the creamed variety.
If I had a nickel for every cigarette she smoked, I'd be dead.
She has a ton of rabbit figurines around her TV.
At least toward the end of the scene, there's this ambient wooshing sound that Lynch is so well known for.
Audrey's House or Wherever
Plenty of people have noticed this, but Charle's line of, "Now, are you going to stop playing games or do I have to end your story too," is really weird.
Also weird is Audrey's line, "Charlie help me, it's like Ghostwood here." Ghostwood being the housing development that was going to replace the Lumbermill, but I don't think was ever built as far as we knew.
I want a better look at Audrey's ring, on the hand she kept hiding under her coat. I don't think it's the ring, but we also don't get a great view of it and it's kind of the right shape.
Roadhouse
The girl who stares longingly at James (Renee) has a tattoo with numbers, but I've seen some reports that this tattoo is just one the actress had already, I think of her Grandparent's anniversary.
We've seen Renee before, she was sitting with Shelly says that James was always cool (in fact, Renee is the only friend present named by another one of the women sitting there.) It's suggested that James and Renee may have a thing for each other. Going back to that scene, I think its interesting that the Stephen drama was actually first mentioned in that booth, but I don't think we realized it at the time. Apparently everyone loves Steve? I'm thinking after episode 18 I'll need to do a whole 'nother set of these to see what stands out in hindsight.
I really appreciate that the two backup singers have expressions just as blank as Maddy and Donna's were during the original song.
Big Ed's Gas Farm
Big Ed still has his ring on too.
Ed's reflection in the window doesn't match up to his own actions. The reflection keeps eating after Ed has already put his food down. At first I though maybe this was a mistake, but he does have a confused/staring expression on his face just before we cut to his reflection.
